In a world where sustainability and ethical business practices are becoming increasingly crucial, companies like Les Vergers Du Mékong, Natures Legacy, and Yever are leading the charge. Founded on principles of environmental stewardship, community support, and responsible management, these organizations have not only earned but also maintained their prestigious B Corp Certifications. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to these companies and applaud their continued commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Let’s take a closer look at their remarkable journeys and continued dedication to making a positive impact:
Les Vergers Du Mékong was founded in 2000 in Vietnam by the eco-entrepreneur and alpinist Jean-Luc VOISIN. From the beginning, he was clear about long-term sustainable development by promoting sustainable farming, local sourcing, and producing natural products. Les Vergers Du Mékong has a unique business model ‘from the farm to the fork’ which has helped them create a sustainable value chain.
The company became the first B Corp certified company in Vietnam in June 2019 and successfully completed their recertification in May 2024. Les Vergers du Mékong’s B Corp Certification highlights their dedication to social and environmental commitments, supporting eco-friendly agriculture in the Mekong Delta. Their recent recertification reflects their sustainable value chain, integrating 2,000 small-scale farms in Vietnam, and contributing to the community, workers, and the environment, whilst aligning with global ethical business practices.
Natures Legacy is an award-winning manufacturer in the Philippines that transforms natural resources into patented sustainable materials to create inspired pieces for the home and business. Promoting the harmony between nature and everyday objects, its pieces spark positivity and imagination.
The company, first certified in December 2019 and recently recertified in May 2024, champions circularity, accountability, and transparency. Through their ethos, 360° Sustainability, they align with the UN’s 17 sustainable development goals. Their materials adhere to sustainable principles: recycled, biodegradable, ethical, and communal.
Their innovative sustainable materials are used to create products for lawn and garden, home decor, furnishings, souvenirs, and packaging, with non-toxic, odorless, and water-based binders, ensuring minimal environmental impact.
Yever is a consultancy firm offering custom-made solutions to corporate leaders. Their team works with Myanmar companies to make their practices smarter, stronger, and more sustainable.
In October 2018, the company became the first B Corp in Myanmar and successfully renewed their certification in May 2024. They believe responsible practices are crucial for Myanmar’s development and are dedicated to providing tools and insights for better decision-making. Their commitment to training their team in best practices and engaging in pro bono work reflects their mission to create a positive impact on both clients and society.
Guided by the purpose of building a better future for Myanmar, Yever believes that businesses can be agents of positive change in society. They advocate for responsible practices that prioritize benefiting people, communities, and the environment over mere profit. This, in turn, fosters trust with stakeholders and forms the foundation for creating resilient organizations prepared for the future.
As we congratulate Les Vergers Du Mékong, Natures Legacy, and Yever on their recertification as B Corps, we also celebrate their unwavering commitment to sustainable development and ethical business practices. Their stories serve as inspiring examples of how companies can thrive while prioritizing social and environmental responsibility. By upholding the highest standards of corporate citizenship, they are not only shaping a better future for their communities but also setting a powerful precedent for businesses worldwide.
