Malaysian B Corp Bets Big on Tiny Tech
The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturing (FMM), and Bintang Capital Partners (Bintang Capital), a Malaysian-based B Corp Company, came together under a milestone MoU to establish Bintang Semiconductor Impact Fund I (BSIF I). The initiative aims to advance Malaysia’s semiconductor industry while promoting sustainability, social impact, and SME development.
Awards for Responsible Tourism in Asia Open for Registration!
The EXO Foundation has launched the 2025 Sustainability Awards to recognize impactful sustainable tourism and environmental projects across Asia. Open to NGOs, social enterprises, and tourism businesses in 10 countries, the awards focus on two themes: “Planet” and “People.” Winners will receive cash prizes, exposure, and support. Applications close on 15 June 2025, with public voting in July–August and the awards ceremony to be held at the end of September.
Indonesia Inks Landmark Deal to Advance Carbon Market
On 8 May 2025, Indonesia’s Ministry of Environment signed a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) with the Gold Standard Foundation, marking a pivotal step in developing a credible and transparent carbon market. The MRA enables dual certification, harmonizes assessment criteria, and simplifies documentation for carbon projects. It reflects Indonesia’s strong commitment to aligning with international standards while expanding its carbon market’s global reach and credibility.

B Lab has released a recertification policy outlining the steps for B Corps due for recertification in 2025 and 2026, enabling the community to begin transitioning to its new standards as early as possible. Recertification pathways will vary based on each B Corp’s recertification date, size, and complexity. B Lab remains committed to providing structured support throughout the transition.
